Lisa Long

Lisa is an exciting talent in the fine art field. Her formal education and many years as an art director and professional illustrator combine with her training as a clairvoyant psychic complement each other to bring forward some unique images and energies in her paintings and sculpture paintings. Her special abilities to see "beyond" are materialized in the media she uses to create expressions or reflections of layers and levels very few people have the desire or gifts to visit consciously, yet are aware of unconsciously and sometimes visit in their dream-state. She maintains conscious awareness and memories of those levels on the "other-side" or "beyond the veils" and her paintings are part of her sharing of these multidimensional realities and the "many mansions" of creation.

Ms. Long is an experimenter, a pioneer - not only in the way she visits the non physical realms but also in the media she chooses to combine to express with in her work. Her history in college as a jeweler, ceramic potter, painter and large "found" sculpture artist and her commercial areas of expertise in magazine and advertising illustrations and renderings of ink, acrylic and airbrush allow her a large range of media and abilities to choose from ... and she usually does not limit her art to one media. She is very careful to create something that is not only beautiful - in its own way - but also very strong and secure in its construction - one example of this is the heavy weight canvas she chooses for her larger three dimensional pieces.

Lisa Long comes from a business background. She has an AA, and a BA, has numerous published illustrations, and she owned her own advertising and publishing agency for more than ten years. She was the Head Editorial Illustrator of a bimonthly publication and Art Director of several other publications. She has private pilots license and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has been a background actor in film and TV. She has traveled to and/or worked in the mainland United States, Egypt, Greece, France, Japan, Singapore, Mexico, Irian Java and Bali Indonesia and makes her home in Hawaii, on the Big Island. She has done thousands of readings and spiritual healings for people around the world via her many web sites which she designed, built and maintains. Lisa is writing several books and screenplays based on her life and understandings as an empathic spiritual counselor. She is now offering a limited number of private paintings as she prepares her books for publication.
